Almost everyone has gone through some sort of anxiety, whether it is worrying about an upcoming test, or events happening in a person’s life. For some, anxiety is a daily occurrence. Worrying over the smallest of details can cause a person from enjoying everyday life. Having an anxiety disorder is a real thing. In some cases, anxiety runs in a family. A few of the signs and symptoms of an anxiety disorder is having trouble relaxing and falling asleep, having trouble controlling their worries and stress over the smallest details, and being easily startled.
After an event, such as the security threat on campus Monday, almost everyone had some sort of anxiety. Those that may have an anxiety disorder may have had some of their fear and worry triggers set off. There is counseling services at Royce hall on campus available.
